Terms of Service & End-User License Agreement

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account or using Roll for Games, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. If you are using the app on behalf of a child in your care, you accept these Terms on their behalf as well.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to register an account for yourself. A child under 13 may use the app only through a child account that a parent or guardian (18 or older) creates for them and for which the parent has provided verifiable consent, as described in our Privacy Policy. Parents and guardians are responsible for the child accounts they create and for supervising their children's use of the app.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information when you register, and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised. You may close your account at any time.

4. Acceptable use

Roll for Games is a friendly space for tracking games and playing together. When you use it, you agree not to:

• break the law or use the app for any unlawful purpose;
• harass, threaten, bully, or abuse other people;
• post content that is hateful, violent, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable;
• impersonate others or misrepresent who you are;
• attempt to access accounts, data, or groups you are not part of;
• interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt to break the app or its security;
• upload malware or scrape or copy the service without permission.

5. User content, objectionable content, and zero tolerance

The app lets you post content — including group chat messages, direct messages, photos, and other material ("User Content"). You are responsible for the User Content you post.

To keep the community safe, we provide the following, consistent with app-store requirements for apps with user-generated content:

• Reporting: you can report objectionable content and abusive behavior through the app or by emailing us.
• Removal: we may review reported content and remove any User Content that violates these Terms.
• Ejecting abusive users: we may suspend or remove users who post objectionable content or engage in abusive behavior.
• Timeliness: we aim to act on reports of objectionable content promptly, and to remove offending content and the users who post it.

By using the app, you agree that there is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior and that violators may be removed.

6. Ownership and license to your content

You keep ownership of your User Content — it is yours. To operate the app, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and display your User Content for the purpose of showing it to you and to the members of your circle within the app, and to back it up and keep the service running. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we are required to retain by law or that remain in routine backups for a limited time. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.

7. Our content and the app

The Roll for Games app, its design, and its software are owned by us or our licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. Board-game data and cover images may come from third parties such as BoardGameGeek and remain the property of their respective owners.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. You use the app at your own discretion and risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roll for Games and the people who operate it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms — including for objectionable content or abusive behavior — or if we need to for legal, security, or operational reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content license terms for backups, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make meaningful changes, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
